SUNDAY FUNDAY - NOVEMBER 12, 2023

  SUNDAY FUNDAY

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2023

It is TWO weeks before Thanksgiving.  So, it's time to decide what pie you want - pumpkin, pecan, cherry, apple- or all the above!!!  (And, is it “Pee-Can” or “Pee-Con”???’’)

Do you host Thanksgiving - or do you go someplace?

Speaking of Thanksgiving, for the past four years, a friend has had “Friendsgiving.”  She holds it the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  It is an excellent time to have friends!!

(I am slightly worried about my friend's “Friendsgiving” - she mentioned not having Green Bean Casserole. Can she do that?  Do I report her to the Friendsgiving/Thanksgiving police?)

HUMOR

My doctor asked if anyone in my family suffered from mental illness and  said, “No, we all seem to enjoy it.”

Just once, I want a username and password prompt to say, “Close enough.”

I’m a multitasker.  I can listen, ignore, and forget all at the same time.

Retirement to-do list:  Wake up!!

Those who argue whether the glass is half-full or half-empty miss the point.  The glass is refillable.

I don’t have grey hair.  I have “wisdom highlights.”

Sometimes, it takes me all day to get nothing done!

I don’t trip.  I do random gravity checks.

One minute, you’re young and fun.  Next, you’re turning down the car radio to see better!!!

Common Sense is not a gift! It is a punishment because you must deal with everyone who doesn’t have it!!!

I came, I saw.  I forgot what I was doing.  So, I retraced my steps and got lost on the way back!!

If you can’t think of a word, say, “I forgot the English word for it.”  That way, people will think you are bilingual rather than a forgetful senior.

I’m at a place in my life where errands are starting to count as going out.

I don’t always go the extra mile, but when I do, it is because I missed my exit.  (That was me two Saturdays ago driving to Walburg - I missed my exit!!)

Having plans sounds like a good idea until you have to put on clothes and leave the house.

It’s weird being the same age as old folks.

Life is like a helicopter. (I don’t know how to operate a helicopter either)

It’s probably my age that tricks people into thinking I’m an adult.

WRAP-UP

Have an amazing week - keep moving forward.  Don’t let your comfort zone shrink on you!!

And, live in an “attitude of gratitude” as we approach Thanksgiving!!

LOVE WINS

LOVE TRANSFORMS
