• Name

• November is named after the Latin word "novem" which means "nine." In the Roman calendar, November was the ninth month. When the Julian calendar was adopted in 45 BC, January and February were added, making November the 11th month.

• The birth flower for November is the chrysanthemum. Red chrysanthemums symbolize "I love you," and white chrysanthemums symbolize truth or pure love.
