A time of peace, love, and joy!!!

WARM-UP
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activities. I’ve had two formal Christmas dinners from my workplace, the second one included a “secret Santa” exchange. I had two orchestra concerts (and some extra rehearsals). The brass quintet that was to play at Bass Pro Shop was canceled as one of the players got COVID. We might try next week after Christmas. (We only could fit in one rehearsal, so we’re not quite as polished as I would like). I’ve picked up some extra shifts at my work and volunteered for extra duty on Thanksgiving and Christmas (hey I’m alone - if my working can let somebody have time with their family, I’m good with that!!!).

Bowl games have started. The University of Texas is playing the University of Washington in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on the 29th.
My undergraduate college played in NCAA Division II and never made a bowl game. My children went to South Dakota State University (SDSU is San Diego State University, so they are SDState). SDState is playing for the NCAA Division II championship in Frisco Texas (I wonder if my family will be there).
