It’s National Don’t Cry over Spilled Milk Day

What ever happened - has happened.  If you spilled milk, if you crashed your car, if you stubbed your toe - whatever - its done and we have to live with it.  We can’t go back to before we spilled the milk - clean it up and move on.

How about National Safer Internet Day

Yes, there are a lot of troubles out there.  These days, you can do almost anything on the Internet. You can play games, connect with friends, and purchase that new outfit you didn’t think you needed but now know you do. It’s an extraordinary feeling to have infinite access to information and entertainment at your fingertips. 

But there are crooks out there, too.  (A sad story for later.  I tried a dating site two years ago and was scammed for some money, and I tried another dating site this year (and more scammers).  

“INFORMATION OVERLOAD!! Yeah, I can waste hours on the Internet—hours that could be spent more productively!

We need to observe this one: National Shut-in Visitation Day

I’ve been to nursing homes and seen the people who never have visitors.  It's like the children say, “Let’s put Mom in a nursing home, and then we won’t have to take care of her.” 

Maybe your parents are in another location, but maybe some of your church/synagogue friends are in nursing homes - make a point to visit them - once a week.  Even those who are sick and cranky - they are still God’s Children.

And, finally - National Make A Friend Day

As I age, I appreciate my friends more.  And, inspite of the National Safer Internet Day (above), I can see what is happening in Lynette, Tom, Jill, and other friend’s lives!!!
