7 Morning Habits That Make It Harder to Lose Weight

I thought this was interesting - maybe enough to change my morning habits
How we start our day - (seemingly) - can affect our weight control. What do you think?
-1 Drink a glass of water immediately when you wake up
The article says, “Water’s function is to accelerate your metabolism and make processing breakfast a lot easier. It’ll also help you get rid of the unhealthy toxins in your body. So, no matter whether you feel it or not, make sure you drink that glass of water every morning and you’ll see your body fat decrease more quickly!
Other sources say it makes sense after eight hours of sleep to get your body hydrated for a new day.
-2 Let the Sun Shine
The article suggests that sunshine starts our metabolism going.
The article says, “The rays of the sun will help you kickstart your metabolism right and prepare your body for both eating breakfast and processing it the right way. You’ll also be surprised by the burst of energy a little bit more sunshine will give you. Just 20 or 30 minutes of sunshine in the morning will be great for your BMI and your weight loss journey.”
Currently, I open my drapes in the morning. But as it is getting hot, after a little sunshine in the morning, I close the drapes to keep the sun and heat out.
We are moving into the longest days of the year (okay, the days are the same length - just the amount of sunshine changes to the maximum).
-3 Keep your coffee simple
If you are trying to lose weight, the extra cream and sugars some add to coffee defeats the losing weight.
-4 Don’t skip breakfast
The article says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Get a good start. BUT, if you are trying to lose weight - don’t eat the sugary breakfast cereals.
-5 Get your morning exercise
The article says “Exercising is a great way to wake up and increase your metabolism, and it also decreases your appetite. Normally, you’d eat to wake up, but if you exchange your calorie-filled breakfast for a 15-minute yoga session or a quick jog, you’ll feel much more inclined to eat a healthy breakfast afterward”
Hmmm - maybe I should try this!!
-6 Don’t read (or listen to) the news
The article suggests that reading or listening to the news can cause stress. Keep away from stress if you are wanting to lose weight
-7 Get good sleep
The last suggestion to help you keep the weight off is to get a good night of sleep.
