When I was young, we had Lincoln's Birthday (February 12), and Washington's Birthday (February 22nd). (Those are still on my calendar). But to honor all of the United States Presidents - and to give government employees (and others) a three day weekend, Presidents Day was established in 1968.
I figure it must be difficult to be a United States President these days. Media is always following him or her - and commentators are finding fault in whatever the president decides.
Funds for Ukraine? Yes or No? Then how much - too much money; not enough money. Border politics - easy or tight? Human rights - LGBTQ, Abortion? Gun control - Yes or No.
Enjoy your President's Day
1 Timothy 2:1-2 " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
