FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2024 - THE GREAT EXPERIMENT - PART II (SPIRITUAL)

Today is International Women’s Day. This week,” I’ve been comparing my journey to the “Black Like Me” as a “Woman Like Me” concept.
Ladies, growing up you learned how to be a woman with help from your mother and girlfriends. You learned dressing, make-up, actions, and more. I had to learn those things on my own. (Well - with some help from Google!!!)
In April 2018, I started taking estrogen. By November 2018 I was living full time as Karen White. By February 2021, I had an official name and gender change in Texas - and got a “Karen White” “Here’s driver's license, changed my social security, bank accounts, and all other relevant places” got a new passport in my new name.
I moved from Leander Texas to Georgetown Texas in October 2018. I could have a new start in a new location. I joined a bridge group. I drove for Faith in Action. I went to the community recreation center; I found a group of women that I attended coffee hour weekly. By April 2019, I had pierced ears and a closet of women’s clot,
I AM A WOMAN!!! (PERIOD!!!)
James 2:2-5
” Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have from you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? “
‭‭
Of course I have been discriminated against. I was told I couldn’t use the ladies’ restroom. At my bridge group I get addressed as “he” regularly. At Granny Basketball at least one treats me as scum. At stores, I am called sir. I used to correct people. I realize that at 6’2” I’m taller than most women.
I have professed “LOVE WINS”. For three years I attended a Saturday Bible Study. One Saturday morning, the pastor (who led the study) stopped me on the sidewalk and said “stop - I am going to pray for deliverance for you”. I turned around and left.
I sense that some (like me) who profess faith in Jesus Christ skip over verses like love your neighbor. “Love covers a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). They might know and even use 1 Corinthians 1“: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
” Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.” But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them. “1 John 2:9-11
But I am mandated to love them. I am mandated to go the extra mile, turn the other cheek, and forgive them.
The First Corinthians 13:8 verse says “Love never fails” - that to me means that LOVE WINS!!!
I’m trying not to judge a person. I know I was very judgmental in the past and that God has changed me.
LOVE WINS
LOVE TRANSFORMS

And, yes, there are times I want to “Call Down Fire” on people. Luke 9:5-56 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?” But Jesus turned and rebuked them. Then he and his disciples went to another village. Calling down fire is NOT loving people.
Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”.
