Apocalypse III
Like many of us, the thought of this
COVID-19/Coronavirus has taken up a lot of time.
I have thought about Franklin
Roosevelt’s comment “All we have to fear is fear itself”. (Aside - my
brain says “FDR” instead of “Franklin Roosevelt”).
I have seen the charts of trying to
spread this out over a longer period of time that will make this virus less
dangerous. I see more comments online about washing your hands more and
being careful in public.
Panic is rarely a good decision.
Jumping out of windows (like Black Thursday at the Stock Market Crash
“On
what became known as “Black Thursday,” false reports crackled around Wall
Street that distraught bankers and investors were leaping out of high-rise
windows and plummeting as quickly as the stock market itself.” (source: https://www.history.com/news/stock-market-crash-suicides-wall-street-1929-great-depression)
Fear - depression -
negativity - all are similar.
The opposite of fear
is confidence (or being ‘fearless’)
The opposite of
depression is cheerfulness
The opposite of
negativity is optimism
I am going with
confidence, cheerfulness, and optimism into the future - and especially into
this coronavirus pandemic. With good sense (avoiding sick people),
washing our hands, being careful and being positive, this too will pass!!!
Panic has already hit
schools, colleges, universities, airlines, vacation spots, and almost
everything else that goes on around us. I’m going to carry a “torch of
hope” to a troubled world.
This too shall pass
my friends!!!
Hugs, love, positive
thoughts, joy, and peace to all of you!!!
Karen
