I write something almost every day of the year.  It is Sunday at 10:00 p.m. I haven’t written a blog for tomorrow.

For the week of September 3 to 10, Grammarly reports:

In high school, I had no idea about writing.  My senior English teacher had me write a paragraph every night and show up to his office twenty minutes before classes started, and he critiqued my writing.

I had three “C” grades in college - Freshman Composition I, Freshman Composition II, and Tumbling (a one-credit gym class)

I had to write a dissertation to get my Ph.D. - that wasn’t much fun.  One of my Ph.D. professors wanted us to be published before graduation (and I wasn’t).

I hated writing for conferences and journals.  The blind reviewers commented that my ideas were okay, but my writing stunk. 

I learned to write better.  There are three legs on our stool in the academic world:  teaching, research (publishing), and service.  I excelled in teaching and service.  

I learned to work with co-authors.  I ended up with over 70 academic publications - many were joint publications - and many were publications with students.

My first blog writing was in 2004; I blogged on different topics over the years. I had my own domain and did blogging on different technologies.  

Since 2019, I’ve written this blog - published both on Facebook and at http://karens2019.blogspot.com.

So, I have written a blog for today.  Today (Mondays) is generally a good day for writing.  So, tomorrow’s blog might be more substantive.
