More Brain Teasers (and no discussion of Cor******us!!)

More Brain Teasers today

Hi Friends!!

Let’s see if I can challenge you today?

-1 A farmer wanted to plant a small orchard.  He wanted five rows of four trees in each row.  He bought ten (10) trees and it was exactly what he wanted.  How did he give five rows of four trees in each row - and yet only use 10 trees?

-2 Bamboo is an unusual plant.  Technically it is in the grass family.  One variety doesn’t start visibility growing until the second year, and that variety doubles in size each of the next ten years.  How old will it be when it is one-half of its final size?

-3 Can you rearrange the letters of NEW DOOR to get one word?

-4 Karen is currently five times as old as her baby sister Anne.  In six years, she will only be TWICE as old as Anne. What are their CURRENT ages?

Some riddles:
-5 What starts out black when you buy it, red when you use it, and white after you use it?

-6 What starts out dry, but gets wet when you use it, and the longer you use it, the stronger your product will be.

-7 How much dirt is there in a hole that is 3 feet deep, and 6 inches in diameter?

-8 What makes more as you take them?

-9 When can you add two to eleven and get one as the correct answer?

Some Puns (from Dad’s Puns on Twitter)
-10 I used to sell security alarms door to door, and I was really good at it.  If no one was home, I would just leave a brochure on the kitchen table.

-11 My wife asked if she could have a little peace and quiet while she cooked dinner. So I took the battery out of the smoke detector.

-12 Yesterday, I was washing the car with my son.  He said: “Dad can’t you just use a sponge?”

-13 My friend David has lost his ID   We now call him Dav

-14 Don't spell part backward. It's a trap.
Answers:
-1 Draw a five-pointed star - and plant the trees at each corner and each intersection.

-2 Nine years - since it doubles each year

-3  NEW DOOR can be arranged to “ONE WORD”.

-4  Karen is currently ten and her sister Anne is 2 years old.  In six years, Karen will be sixteen and Anne will be eight (twice her age).

Riddles
-5 Charcoal

-6 Teabags

-7  There is no dirt in a hole (you dug it out)

-8 Footsteps

-9 On the clock - when you add 2 (hours) to 11 (11:00) - you get 1 (!:00)
