Yes, I like Halloween.  What other day can a grown adult dress up in a costume and eat candy (that they bought - supposedly - for the neighborhood kids!!!)

When I taught, I always had a costume. 

 “My costume rules” - funny, not gruesome, not scary, not poking fun at anybody, (and probably a bit silly!!!

In the past, I’ve been Zorro (a champion of the right against corruption); a squeeze bottle of ketchup; The great pumpkin from Charley Brown;  a pirate (but a good pirate); clown (and I didn’t even need to dress up for that one); and (maybe the one that started it all); in drag as my spinster sister!!

I think FUN is important in our society.  The old concept that “Laughter is the best medicine” does have value!!  I hope you all have good laughs today!!!

Four grandchildren went Trick or Treating:  Abigale, Erik, Jackson, and Noah.  They dressed as firefighters, pirates, Scarecrow, and superheroes.

When Jackson knocked on doors he said “Trick or Treat, Matey”

None of the boys dressed as a firefighter

Noah’s costume had a cape.

Which child dressed as which character?

SHORT STORY / JOKE

On their way to the cemetery in San Francisco, the hearse driver decided to drive up Lombard Street (the curviest street in the world).  Unfortunately, the back doors hadn’t been closed and the casket rolled out and down the street.

It was really a weird sight - here is a casket rolling down the streets in hilly San Francisco.  Cars stopped in intersections to let it pass.  Even the cable cars stopped for the casket.

Up and down - even around corners.  

Finally, the rolling casket hit a curb, it slid inside a pharmacy, the doors opened, the body popped up - and asked:

“HOW DO YOU STOP THIS COFFIN?”  (coughing!!)
